At the Climate Media Lab, we use quantitative methods to study how climate change is covered in the media. Using machine learning and natural language processing, we perform large-scale analyses on various aspects of climate change coverage. These include the topics discussed, the scientific knowledge communicated, the sources used, and the frames and narratives employed by different actors and outlets.

Esther is a freelance researcher and data/investigative journalist. She has a background in neuroscience and data science and has worked at multiple tech startups. Together with Lynn she has founded Nikii to strive for climate information integrity in the Dutch media.
Lynn researches and trains on climate misinformation. She co-founded Nikii where she works on projects to improve climate information integrity. Her background is in sustainable energy technology, with experience spanning energy transition project leadership, climate advocacy, and research.
